The Clemson Brick Plant Operator’s Forum was founded to provide practical and pertinent information to those in the brick industry and is known for its relaxed atmosphere of camaraderie amongst industry participants — captured perfectly in the forum’s long-standing slogan: “Brick People to Brick People.” Presented by the Brick Education and Research Foundation to benefit the National Brick Research Center, the forum features two days of technical presentations covering best practices, fundamentals of brick making, innovations, plant upgrades, wall systems, and environmental health and safety — with the majority of presentations delivered by fellow brick makers. Evening hospitality offerings provide a relaxed setting for manufacturers and suppliers to connect and discuss shared challenges.
The National Brick Research Center operates as an Industry Sponsored Research Center within Clemson University’s College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences, with a long-standing reputation for expertise in traditional ceramic products and a special emphasis on clay brick.
