Organic Inks and Coatings

Vibrantz’s kristal HTP (hot melt) organic inks are transparent screen process inks available in solid thermoplastic form for multi-print container glass decoration. Available in a wide range of seven transparent colors, the kristal line of hot melt transparent inks deliver durable and vibrant designs with superior glass adhesion.

Our transparent hot melt organic inks are a ready-to-use single component formulation requiring no dilution. They are designed for multi-print glass decoration and do not require a white underlayer, which can reduce the total amount of white color necessary for decoration and yield cost savings.  As these inks cure at a lower temperature than ceramic inks, less energy is used for heating. They can also be used on the existing printing machines and equipment already used with traditional inorganic glass enamels.

Kristal hot melt organic inks dry immediately after printing, allowing the next print to be instantly applied when using a high-speed multi-color decoration machine.

Vibrantz offers invisible effect organic waterborne coatings, a one-component system that offers both glossy and matt high-quality decorative looks that allows glass objects to be illuminated by black light.

During the daylight, this coating provides an ‘invisible’ and transparent look, but becomes luminous in black light, providing the ability to protect objects and designs from counterfeiting.

Our invisible effect coating is designed to provide a very unique and high-tech look, which can also add to the décor of parties and special events.

Hydrotherm waterborne organic coatings are specially formulated for high temperature-resistant decoration of interior glass lights and glass lampshades. Temperature resistant on a long-term basis up to 200°C, Hydrotherm is available in a wide range of colors and surface effects, providing many decoration options.

Hydrotherm is a heavy metal-free modern one-component system rganic glass coating ideal for the coloring decoration of many glass surfaces.

The Hydroquick line of organic water-based coatings are two component systems designed for the decoration of interior-use plastics including polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP.)  Available in a broad spectrum of core color shades in several gloss levels and an unlimited variety of metallic and effect colors, it provides for limitless design options on plastic packaging decoration.

Hydroglasur is a heavy metal-free modern glass coating one-component system for the coloring decoration of interior and exterior glass surfaces. Due to its outstanding resistance properties, it is especially suited for the coating of household glassware such as drinking glasses, plates or bowls that are cleaned in the dishwasher regularly. Objects coated with hydroglasur are hard to distinguish from pigmented or etched glass.

Offering an unlimited variety of colors and effects, hydroglasur is available in highly transparent to completely hiding and brilliant to matt effects. Its application is easy and economical with a wide range of machinery parameters.

Hydroglasur is certified for direct food contact and corresponds to the requirements of paragraph 30 and 31 out of German food and feed code (LFGB) as well for article 3 out of (EG) provision no. 1935/2004. Coating  glasses, cups, bowls with hydroglasure can be recommended without restrictions.

For plates, we recommend covering the rim or complete backside area.

The hydrodesign line of organic water-based coatings is a top choice for heavy metal-free flat glass decoration, exhibiting excellent mechanical properties and glass adhesion. Easy to use, hydrodesign offers low curing conditions, is fast drying, and can be applied by all established spraying methods and roller application.

Offering brilliant gloss and color shades in additional matt styles, hydrodesign provides a very large color range that is naturally free of heavy metals.

Hydrodecor is an economical line of organic water-based coatings that offers heavy metal-free glass decoration featuring good solvent resistance, good resistance against alkalis and acids, and a very high durability that is required for decorative glass items, including up to 150 cycles in a household dishwasher.

Its good mechanical properties and broad application window results in the easy application of coatings within a wide range of machinery parameters. It can be applied by spray or automatic finishing and is cured at a temperature range of 170°C to 190°C while offering a high process reliability.

Available in an unlimited variety of colors and effects, Hydrodecor enables the production of decorative glass objects with the highest aesthetic demands. Coatings made with Hydrodecor are hardly distinguishable from pigmented glass due to the many special effects that are available. From highly transparent and brilliant to mat and opaque, Hydrodecor provides a nearly limitless color range that is naturally free of heavy metals.

The hydrocos line of organic water-based coatings offers heavy metal-free glass decoration used for glass cosmetics packaging.  Its good mechanical properties combined with an additional resistance to a large number of fillings provides a high assurance of safe handling during filling and transportation.

Our basic color system includes all Pantone® color shades and are mixable in any ratio, enabling our customers to achieve any desired color shade.  The easy handling of basic lacquers and color concentrates allows producing a variety of colors, with different gloss levels in a fast, easy and economical manner.

Vibrantz can also produce custom colors based on customer specifications or from the common color charts.  Sample shades can also be produced in short runs, and further custom color shades according to color charts or color systems can also be mixed.
