It is not recommended for or the decoration of pressurized containers.
Oilfield iron oxides
Our hematite is a high-density weighting agent that can be used alone in high-pressure situations or in combination with barite to reduce the total solids content in the drilling fluid at any given mud weight. Vibrantz supplies both low and ultra-low abrasive weighting agent options for customers to reduce wear and tear on their equipment.
Densfil – high purity natural hematite; >4.9 SG
Metal sulfides
These high-quality products are valued for their sulfur content and can be used in a variety of industrial applications.
PyriteMax
Ferro Sulfur Synthetic
Glass iron oxides
Our hematite, chromite and pyrite-based products are used for coloration and as performance additives in container glass, flat glass and automotive glass. Densfil is used in commercial building glass cladding to impart solar control and aesthetics and add color and ultraviolet protection to tinted windshields, back-lights, quarter-lights, and sunroofs for the heavy and light vehicle automotive markets. Additionally, Densfil, Pyritemax and Chromox are used in the production of container glass to achieve green and amber color bottles in the furnace. Relatively small additions color the glass but do not affect the basic properties of the glass except for changes in the lower solar light and energy transmission.
Foundry iron chromite
We provide chromite sands and powders used by leading foundries to eliminate casting defects and provide durable color solutions. Our high-purity ChromeCast® chromite sand provides excellent chill properties for castings with heavy metal sections as well as castings with intricate details. ChromeCast is typically used as a sand media when casting dredge cutters, medium and heavy-duty truck parts, mill rolls, oil pumps and valves and pressure parts.

Foundry iron oxides
RedCast® and BlackCast® are proven anti-veining agents for foundry castings. RedCast, used in core sand and no-bake molds, eliminates or greatly reduces nitrogen gas defects and reduces expansion defects in low sand to metal ratio casting. It is used in cast iron, nodular iron, and steel foundry applications. BlackCast, also used in core sand and no-bake molds, eliminates or greatly reduces veining for cast iron, nodular iron, and steel foundry applications.
